If your hair is anything like mine; long, thick, dark, and wavy but it smoothes out easily with a good blowdry, you pretty much will have a good hair day as long as the humidity levels are low. But as soon as the weather starts getting warmer, and the humidity in the air starts to feel like pea soup in a swamp, so much for that good hair day! I have left my house feeling like my hair was perfection, and by the time I got to the salon (yes I am a hairstylist, so I can fix my hair when I get to work) my smooth shiny hair now looks like the spawn of Side Show Bob.

I normally get a keratin smoothing treatment at the beginning of summer to avoid the Side Show Bob frizz, but what’s a girl to do if you can’t get to the salon due to the global pandemic that we are all living through. Well, fret no more, I have a few tricks up my sleeve and these are the products that I use and recommend to tame the beast!

First, make sure you are using a good moisturizing shampoo and conditioner. My favorite combo that seems to work really well for me right now is OLAPLEX Shampoo and ORIBE Moisture & Control Deep Conditioning Masque as my conditioner.

Second step, on damp towel dried hair I put a pump of Moroccan Oil in my hair

Then I spray It’s a 10 Miracle Leave In plus Keratin

Blow-dry and style as usual

Add a drop of the Moroccan Oil to your dry hair and smooth on the ends

The final step, spray hair with Oribe Impermeable Anti-Humidity Spray! I LOVE this product because it really works!

Just because we are quarantined inside our homes and we need to wear masks when we go outside, it doesn’t mean that we have to just throw in the towel. We all still want to feel sexy and have a little bit of normal to our otherwise abnormal lives and hair routines!
