DIY Face Masks

Every time I scroll through Instagram I see one of two things, homemade chocolate chip cookies or homemade banana bread. They taste good, they are fun to make, they waste a lot of time – I get it. But, I am asking you to put your baking skills to rest and use your ingredients for something else. Face Masks! There is nothing more relaxing than lying in your bed with a nice and cool face mask on. During times like these, everyone needs to take some time out of their day to destress.

Put your yeast away and take out the essentials: cane sugar, honey, oats, coconut oil, greek yogurt, and avocado. These are the best DIY face masks for different skin types.

For acne: Mix together honey, avocado, and coconut oil until smooth and creamy. Apply to your skin and leave the mask on for 10-15 minutes. This is great to use if you have acne, the honey and the avocado will treat the acne without drying out your skin!

For dry skin: Mix together greek yogurt, oats and a little bit of honey. After 10-15 minutes, this mask will leave your skin feeling soft and moisturized. The cold greek yogurt will keep you relaxed while the oats act as an inflammatory. Enjoy!

For chapped lips: There is nothing worse than chapped lips- absolutely nothing. Simply mix together cane sugar and honey. Scrub it all over your lips and don’t keep it on for more than 5 minutes. Apply your favorite lip balm or vaseline after
